Nippon Maru Set Sail for Brunei Darussalam
with Youth Ambassadors of the 41st SSEAYP2014

J
apanese Country Program of SSEAYP2014 was successfully implemented on Oct 29 – Nov 7, 2014.  315 Participating Youths (PYs) from Japan and 10 ASEAN nations, led by 11 National Leaders (NLs) from respective countries, assembled in Tokyo on Oct 29.

After participating the Inauguration Ceremony and Welcome Reception, they were divided into 11 different groups with mixed nationalities and fostered friendship with local Japanese people through various interaction activities.  When they returned Tokyo, "Japan-ASEAN Youth Leaders Summit" with the theme of "Youth Participation in Social Activities: How can you contribute in creating better society towards 2020?" took place with 94 Japanese Local Youths (LYs).

SSEAYP is surely one of the biggest international youth exchange program in Japan and ASEAEN nations.  It could be said that young ambassadors were born to develop their leadership for changes of our region and future.  Their journey will continue next 40 more days on board and in ASEAN port of call countries till they return home on December 17.
